4 restaurants in Allegheny County ignore orders to close over COVID-19 restriction violations

PITTSBURGH — Four restaurants in Allegheny County have remained open after being ordered Tuesday to close for violating Gov. Tom Wolf’s COVID-19 restrictions.

Al’s Cafe in Bethel Park, David’s Diner in Springdale, Gianna Via’s in Whitehall and Il Pizzaiolo in Mt. Lebanon have been offering indoor dining. As a result, they were cited by the Allegheny County Health Department and ordered to shut down completely for seven days, Channel 11′s news exchange partners at TribLIVE reported.

All four restaurants were still open as of Wednesday morning, according to TribLIVE.

Under Wolf’s current order, indoor dining is prohibited until Jan. 4.
