Body found by family walking along trail in Shaler

SHALER, Pa. — A body of a male was found in Shaler Monday night, police confirmed to Channel 11.

Shaler police chief Sean Frank said the body was found around 6:30 p.m. by a man and his family walking along a trail off Marzolf Road Extension

Allegheny County police are investigating the death.

Tuesday afternoon the medical examiner identified the body as 43-year-old Shaun Shapert.
