BUTLER, Pa. — Parents in Butler Area School District are going to be dealing with school consolidation for the second time in four years.
More than 7,000 students attend the district's 10 schools.
Just four years ago the disct consolidated some elementary schools, and now it's looking at changes for the middle school.

Superintendent Brian White said the problem is twofold. First, disctrict shrank faster than was anticipated. Second, the middl school is old and in need of $20 million worth of repairs.
"We don’t want to be trapped into a building that the district doesn’t necessarily need," he said.
