Cat missing from New Jersey reunited with owner in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — After going missing from her home in New Jersey more than four years ago, Nova and her owner were reunited at a Pittsburgh animal shelter.

According to Animal Friends, Nova was lost in New Jersey as a young cat just before Christmas in 2016. Her owner made flyers and posted them all around her apartment complex but had no luck finding Nova.

The shelter stated at some point, the cat made her way from New Jersey to Pittsburgh, where a shelter volunteer found her. They found the cat had been microchipped after she was scanned, and the team was able to contact her owner.

Nova is now safely on her way back home.
