• Missing Slippery Rock man wanted on child porn charges, police say

    SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A twist in the disappearance of a Slippery Rock Township man: Christopher Dublin, thought missing and endangered, is now wanted by state police on child porn charges.

    Troopers say he may be on the run.

    "Our investigation showed he had a lot of pictures and we got a warrant for his arrest Monday," said Jim Long, a trooper with Pennsylvania State Police. 

    According to the arrest warrant, the computer crimes task force began an investigation on him in December 2017. In March 2018, troopers served a search warrant on his home, seized his computer and found 1,000 images of child porn.

    According to police paperwork, when troopers entered his home, Dublin, a husband and a father, told them, “I know why you are here."

    Police say he admitted to downloading child porn, but not for sexual gratification. He told troopers he collects it because it is rare.

    He went on to say, according to police paperwork, he knew police would be coming to his house at some point because he’s been doing it for 20 years. 

    When Dublin went missing last week, police searched the game lands in Butler County, where they found his abandoned car. They thought he was in danger, but with these new charges they say he could be on the run.
