Classic episodes of ‘Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood’ to air in special interactive social media event

OTD: Last Mister Rogers Neighborhood Episode

PITTSBURGH — We can always count on Mister Rogers to get us through some tough times, and helping us through the coronavirus outbreak is no different.

WQED will air three classic episodes of “Mister Rogers Neighborhood” on Thursday, April, 16 beginning at 7:30 p.m. The family-fun event will include viewer participation through social media.

The three half-hour episodes begin at 7:30 p.m. with “How People Make Crayons” from 1981; followed by “Cellist Yo-Yo-Ma/How People Make Bass Violins” from 1985 and “Musical Games, Talking About Feelings” from 1982.

Viewers at home are asked to wear their cardigans and post selfies with the hastag: #CardigansAtHome. Kids are asked to make drawings and post them to enter a raffle for a jumbo box of Crayola crayons. Other hastags people can use for the event are #AtHomewithWQED and #AtHomeWithMrRogers.
