Dedication ceremony held at UPMC Children’s Hospital to recognize Brett Keisel

PITTSBURGH — A dedication ceremony was held at UPMC Children’s Hospital in Lawrenceville Wednesday to recognize Brett Keisel for his “10 Years, 10 Beards, $1 Million” efforts through his annual Shear Da Beard fundraiser.

For the past 10 years, Keisel has hosted the annual event, which has benefitted UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh’s division of hematology/oncology.

Over that period of time, $1 million have been raised.

A mural is now up inside the hospital recognizing the former Pittsburgh Steeler.

On top of the event, Keisel has also visited patients several times.
