Despite numerous signs, drivers aren’t obeying the traffic restrictions that are in place for the safety of students, crossing guards, police and district officials, police said.
Channel 11's cameras captured several drivers being pulled over by an officer monitoring the intersection. Police are picking up patrols in the area.
School officials said parents have voiced concerns about the dangerous intersection.
"Getting out of here in the morning is really inconvenient, so you can see why people make bad decisions," parent Bill Wyrick said.
