Gov. Wolf: Beaver County to join rest of western Pa. in green phase

HARRISBURG, Pa. — As the majority of Pennsylvania moved into the green phase of Gov. Wolf’s reopening plan, he announced which areas of the state are next to transition.

At a news conference Friday, Wolf said every county in the state has moved out of the red phase. He said there is still a continued decline in new COVID-19 infections.

Wolf also said twelve more counties will move into the green phase starting June 12: Adams, Beaver, Carbon, Columbia, Cumberland, Juniata, Mifflin, Northumberland, Union, Wayne, Wyoming and York.

Wolf said Erie County is experiencing a rise in coronavirus cases and that is why that area is not moving forward.

Following Wolf, Dr. Rachel Levine said the state is aware of 19 cases of MIS-C in children with 15 more cases under investigation. She said the recovery rate across the state from COVID-19 was about 70%.
