High school football teams ready to kickoff second season in midst of pandemic

PITTSBURGH — The 2021 high school football season will be a little more “normal” compared to last year.

When it comes to protocols and policies for this season, there are a lot of differences.

Teams across the WPIAL are looking forward to at least a semi-regular season and for Friday nights to look a lot like they did pre-pandemic.

That includes fans packing the stands, cheerleaders and bands on the sidelines and no mask requirements in outdoor stadiums.
