But she never thought the woman she trusted to take care of her would be accused of stealing from her.
“I had no idea that that was going on," Ebert said.
Ebert noticed debit cards and checks out of place. She checked her jewelry chest and noticed almost everything that had sentimental value was gone.
"My wedding ring was gone, my engagement ring was gone...” Ebert said.

Even the $300 her 12-year-old son had in his savings was missing.
Penn Township police filed charges against her caretaker, Brieanna Knox, of North Versailles.
“Here I am in a wheelchair, can’t walk now and I’m in total depression as it is. For her to take things from underneath without thinking twice about it," Ebert said.
Investigators estimate Knox pawned more than $9,000 worth of jewelry to a shop in North Versailles.
Channel 11 found more charges filed against Knox in Murrysville. She’s accused of stealing checks, racking up thousands in credit cards, and stealing jewelry and pills from an elderly patient she was supposed to be taking care of.
Police said she stole more than $30,000 from that victim.
