• Indiana County man arraigned on suspicion of assaulting woman; hearing set for June

WHITE TOWNSHIP, Pa. - State police in Indiana County arrested a man Saturday on suspicion of assaulting a woman and threatening her with a knife.
Ryan McAdoo, 43, of Indiana, was taken into custody "without incident" in Mercer County Friday, police said, before being transported to Indiana County Jail.
He was arraigned Saturday morning, with bail set at $25,000. Police said McAdoo was remanded to Indiana County Jail.
Police said McAdoo and the victim got into an argument just after 8 p.m. Thursday at a home on Twolick Drive in White Township.

During the argument, McAdoo got a knife from the kitchen and threatened to harm the woman, police said.
He eventually put the knife down, but when the victim tried to call police, he took her phone and smashed it on the ground, police said.
Troopers said McAdoo later shoved the woman against a wall and held a different knife against her torso. A neighbor intervened.
    The victim suffered minor injuries.
A preliminary hearing for McAdoo is scheduled for June 6.
