A heat advisory may be issued for parts of the area for Sunday when the most uncomfortable weather of the weekend rolls in. Heat index values are expected to climb to near 100 degrees.

An Air Quality Action Day is issued by the Department of Environmental Protection when ozone air at the ground level is expected to reach a level that could cause breathing problems for the elderly, children, pregnant women and people with a heart or respiratory disease.
