Jackie Evancho and family to be featured in new TV special

PITTSBURGH — Jackie Evancho rose to fame on the NBC hit show America’s Got Talent. Now she’s returning to television with her own TLC Special.

The show is called "Growing Up Evancho," and according to Variety, it will go behind the scenes with the 17-year-old singer and the entire Evancho family, including her transgender sister Juliet.

Juliet sued the Pine-Richland School District after she and other transgender students were banned from using the bathrooms of their choice.

In February, Jackie Evancho took to social media after President Donald Trump signed an executive order rolling back protections for transgender youth. She requested a meeting with the president.

Jackie also has a younger brother Zach and younger sister Rachel.

The one-hour special will air August 9 at 9 p.m.
