MONROEVILLE, Pa. — For the first time in over two months, churches and other places of worship can welcome parishioners through the doors starting this weekend.
This comes days after President Donald Trump ordered churches across the country to reopen, deeming them as essential services.
However, every church is approaching the reopening differently. Some are remaining online only, while others are open or plan to reopen soon.
Grace Life Church in Monroeville is offering their parishioners four service options, so they feel comfortable and safe:
- View the service online
- Listen from your car in the back parking lot
- Bring a lawn chair and sit in the main parking lot to watch
- Attend the traditional way inside the building
“We have gun salutes coming tomorrow, we have hot dogs. The drone will be dropping prizes,” said senior pastor Buck Schafer. “We’re just trying to make it a little bit light but keep it real (and) distanced.”
