Surveillance video shows Diehl allegedly crashing into a vehicle on a used car lot on Saw Mill Run Boulevard in his SUV. Police say, moments before that happened, Diehl ran a red light at the intersection with Maytide Street and smashed into another car.

The driver of that car, a Mt. Oliver man, went to the hospital complaining of back pain, police say.

Diehl and his girlfriend, who was in his SUV, were not injured. Police gave Diehl several field sobriety tests before arresting him. An hour later, at 2:45 a.m., police say breath tests showed Diehl's blood-alcohol content to be .083, then .076.

The criminal complaint alleges Diehl was swaying and smelled of alcohol, and told police he had had "three beers three hours ago."
