PITTSBURGH — A woman who has survived two pandemics celebrated her 104th birthday at Pittsburgh’s UPMC St. Margaret Hospital.
Legula Estiloz lived through the 1918 influenza pandemic as a baby. Recently, she beat COVID-19.
Despite being in the hospital recovering from a heart attack, Estiloz’s birthday was not overlooked.
Family members and hospital workers sang “Happy Birthday” to Estiloz, who said the key to a long life is: “Trusting God, trusting myself and trusting your neighbor. Keep on keeping on.”
