Man arrested seconds after sexually assaulting motel employee in Allegheny Co., deputies say

KENNEDY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man was arrested just seconds after trying to sexually assault an employee at a hotel in Kennedy Township, according to police.

A housekeeper at the Hilltop Inn ran for safety, but she had no idea she was about to be rescued by three Allegheny County sheriff’s deputies.

According to investigators, the housekeeper was cleaning room 240 when the motel guest staying there, Maurice Ebore, suddenly grabbed her and sexually assaulted her.

“She went there just to do her job. She was going to clean the room, he shut the door and proceeded to assault her,” said Chief Deputy Kevin Krause.

Krause said the deputies were on duty at the motel to serve a PFA when the alleged victim came running.

She was crying and told them Ebore first used his hands to assault her then tried to pull off her clothes.

When she resisted, she said Ebore offered her drugs – marijuana and crack cocaine – in exchange for sex, telling her to “smoke some of this and we will have a good time.”

“She tried to escape two times unsuccessfully, and the third time she was able to get out. And that’s when she ran out of the hotel towards our sheriff’s deputies,” Krause said.

From there, deputies knocked on the door, and when Ebore answered they brought him out of the room at gunpoint.

Another employee later told police this same motel guest had also offered her drugs for sex.

The suspect checked in at the motel about two weeks ago. Deputies said they did find a small amount of marijuana and crack cocaine inside the room.
