Man arrested for vandalizing South Side park with racist graffiti

PITTSBURGH — Detectives have charged a Pittsburgh man for spray painting “disgusting, hateful” graffiti at Quarry Field in the South Side Slopes.

Matthew Dougherty, 27, was charged with criminal mischief and graffiti in connection with the April 5 incident.

The damages were discovered by a local youth baseball team who showed up for practice.
