PITTSBURGH — A man is accused of chasing and attacking another man after trying to steal his order at a restaurant in Pittsburgh’s South Side, according to authorities.

The incident started about 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Mad Noodles on East Carson Street, where police were called for a reported robbery.

Police said Kevin Songer, 37, was drunk when he went into the restaurant and tried to steal an order. He then followed a man out of the restaurant and tried to take his order, chasing after him as he tried to run away.

Songer chased the man toward 20th Street. He punched him in the head, knocking him to the ground before taking the food, police said.

Songer was later arrested, but not before jumping into the back of a woman’s car, according to police. The woman yelled at him to get out, and he did after throwing a bag at her as she drove off.

Charges against Songer include robbery, disorderly conduct, simple assault and public drunkenness.
