28-year-old man dies in crash with People’s Natural Gas truck

ALLEGHENY CO., Pa. — A man died after his car collided with a utility truck in Allegheny County.

According to a release from police, the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on Broadway Avenue in Pitcairn.

Investigators said the driver of a Mazda sedan crossed the center line and collided with a People’s Natural Gas utility truck, which was traveling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Mazda, a 28-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. He has not yet been identified by authorities.

Police said the truck driver suffered minor injuries and is expected to be OK.

The deadly crash is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
