PITTSBURGH — A man died after he was pulled from a burning home early Monday morning in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood.
Flames were shooting from the second floor of the home in the 500 block of Clawson Street when firefighters got there just after 3:30 a.m., officials said.
Once inside the home, firefighters found the man and carried him out. He was then taken to a hospital, where he died, officials said.
He was identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office as Clyde Alexander Demus, 56, of Pittsburgh.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The American Red Cross is providing assistance to another person who lived in the home.
