Man facing numerous charges in Pittsburgh burglary, threats

PITTSBURGH — A man is facing numerous charges after police said he broke into a woman’s home and threatened to kill her.

Quinton Leonard, 34, is charged with burglary, criminal mischief and making terroristic threats in the July 3 incident.

The victim said Leonard broke inside her home along Broad Street earlier this month. The door and a window were broken, and the woman’s personal belongings were thrown onto her front yard. When the woman got home she says Leonard was standing on the sidewalk threatening her, while her grandchildren were in the car.

She called 911 while her friend, who has a valid Concealed Carry license, stepped in and held the man at gunpoint until police arrived.

“She had it aiming at him because he just kept walking up on us, like he was going to do something,” the woman said.

The woman said Leonard threw more of her belongings on a neighbor’s yard and slashed the tires of vehicles nearby.

The woman said she doesn’t know Leonard.
