PITTSBURGH — A man was rushed to the hospital after being shot in Homewood Friday evening.

Police said the shooting happened around 5:45 p.m. on Alsace Way near North Braddock Avenue.

Emergency responders found the victim -- who has not been identified -- with a gunshot wound to the stomach and immediately started aid. He was taken via ambulance to the hospital in critical condition.

The details surrounding what led to the shooting are unclear, and investigators did not release any information about a suspected shooter.
