PITTSBURGH — A man is in the hospital after he was stabbed in downtown Pittsburgh.
According to police, the victim tried to run and was chased to Market Square where he was able to get help.
It was just before 11 p.m. Tuesday when officers found the victim stabbed in the arm and back. He is expected to recover.
Michael Bob Jr. of Carnegie is facing charges for the incident.
Investigators have learned the conflict actually started in the area of Liberty Avenue and Wood Street near the Benedum Center.
A fight involving multiple people was caught on surveillance video and at one point, according to a criminal complaint, Bob Jr. was seen "waving a knife."
The victim told police he stopped Bob Jr. from trying to board a bus and that's when things spilled into Market Square.
This is the second stabbing in downtown Pittsburgh within a week. Two women were stabbed on Sixth Avenue Thursday, and one of them died.
