Man wanted for stabbing one person, threatening child with knife

SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — UPDATE:

David Interthal has been arrested and is currently in the Allegheny County Jail. Details of the arrest were not immediately known.

A man is wanted for stabbing one person and threatening a child with a knife.

Shaler police have an arrest warrant for David Interthal.

The 33-year-old is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats and harassment.

"I'm really curious to know more details about what happened because he just didn't seem like that kind of guy," said neighbor Joanne Kirn.

Interthal was accused of stabbing one person and physically injuring another at a home on Badli Street just after 4 a.m. Friday morning. He was also accused of threatened a juvenile with a knife.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

"Shocked. Like I said, we didn't know them all that well," said Andy Kirin. "We would talk, say hi. He's done some work for us a few years back on some trees. They seemed like nice people."

Interthal drove off in a charcoal-colored 2011 Jeep with Pennsylvania registration JXR4267.

He could be considered armed and dangerous, according to police.
