Nearly 80% of Americans live within 5 miles of all 3 COVID-19 vaccines

WASHINGTON, D.C. — There’s new information out showing that it’s easier than ever for Americans to find the COVID-19 vaccine they want.

An analysis by VaccineFinder shows that nearly 80% of people live within five miles of a site offering one of the three vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson.

VaccineFinder powers the government’s website where people can search for a COVID-19 vaccine by ZIP code.

Searches show easy access for people who live in big cities, as well as small towns.

Despite the access, demand for vaccines has dropped across the U.S.

“We want every American to be safe and we want every American to get vaccinated. The more we do that, the more we can say every American can stop having to worry about wearing a mask,” said Xavier Becerra, Secretary of Health and Human Services.

A new poll from the Associated Press and the NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found fewer Americans are reluctant to get a COVID vaccine compared to just a few months ago.
