Need to drop off your mail-in ballot in Allegheny Co.? Here’s how you can do it

ALLEGHENY CO., Pa. — If you haven’t dropped off your mail-in ballot yet ahead of the election in Allegheny County, there is still time to do it.

Although the deadline to apply for mail-in ballots is now passed, you have until 8 p.m. on Election Day to submit it in-person if you choose.

According to a release from elections officials, the lobby of the County Office Building on Forbes Avenue is available for ballot drop-offs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day until Nov. 3. On Election Day, you have between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. to drop it off.

Voters who have made errors on or misplaced their security or declaration envelope may get replacements at the window, officials said.

If you made an error on your ballot, or you haven’t received the ballot you applied for, the Elections Office can reissue the ballot at the counter. The office hours for those and other related questions are as follows:

  • Oct. 28 - Oct. 30: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 31 - Nov. 1: CLOSED
  • Nov. 2 - Nov. 3: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Officials are reminding voters of the following:

  • State law requires that voters return their own ballot; they may not return the ballots of others
  • Masks or face coverings are required in the offices and physical distancing will be followed

If you want to vote in-person on Election Day, you are able to do so.
