Oakdale man will stay in custody for alleged role in U.S. Capitol riot, judge orders

PITTSBURGH — A federal judge has ordered Jordan Mink to stay in custody until his trial.

The 27-year-old is accused of using a baseball bat to break windows in the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6. He’s facing six charges, including destruction of government property.

According to our news partners at TribLIVE.com, the judge said Mink showed “nothing but a complete and total disregard for the government and rule of law,” and because of his behavior at the Jan. 6 riots, she did not believe she could set any conditions for release to guarantee his appearance in court.
