Parents suing gun manufacturer after teen's death

MOUNT PLEASANT, Pa. — On the second anniversary of their son's death, the parents of J.R. Gustafson have filed a lawsuit.

Gustafson's parents are suing the gun manufacturer and the store that sold that gun, after their 13-year-old son was shot and killed in a Mount Pleasant home in 2016.

According to the police, the convicted shooter was a friend of Gustafson and was told to use the gun to scare him off.

Gustafson's parents told our partners at TribLIVE.com that Springfield Armory made the gun and Saloom Department Store sold it, without proper warnings and safety features.
