Person taken to hospital after fire in apartment above Stowe Township deli

STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — One person was taken to a hospital after a kitchen fire early Thursday morning in an apartment above a deli in Stowe Township, officials said.

The small fire happened above Mama Lena’s Italian Deli on Broadway Avenue. It started about 1 a.m.

Firefighters could be seen on the fourth floor of the building, and a fan was in a doorway on the second floor while crews were at the scene.

It’s unclear how the person who was taken to the hospital is doing.
