Pirates players sent 400 pizzas and other Italian food to workers at Allegheny General Hospital Monday afternoon.
The players wanted to support local small businesses as well as say thank you to the front line healthcare providers, so they purchased 300 pizzas from Slice on Broadway, located at PNC Park, as well as 300 pizzas and 10 large trays of pasta from Pizzeria Davide in the Strip District.
