Pittsburgh group still has PPE supplies on hand to give away for free

PITTSBURGH — A locally-based non-profit organization is working hard to deliver PPE supplies to organizations in need.

Already, Global Links has given away hundreds of thousands of masks, face shields and other supplies to local nursing homes, senior care facilities and other organizations serving at-risk individuals.

“We have heard from very small care homes or small non-profits ‘thank you, we would not have been able to continue working without your assistance,’” said Angela Garcia, Global Links’ executive director.

As it stands now, the Green Tree-based organization has nearly half a million supplies still available, for free.

To further benefit the community, the supplies have been purchased from local businesses, through the use of donor funds.

Any organization that would like to receive the supplies, or assist Global Links in its mission of providing medical relief, can email communitypartners@globallinks.org.
