PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh public safety officials said it has been a busy few days for park rangers around the city as they worked to help geese deal with fishing line wrapped around their bodies and even fishing hooks embedded in their skin.
Officials asked that people clean up after themselves when done fishing, saying lines and hooks pose a threat to wildlife, pets and other people if simply left behind.
Park Rangers had a busy two days wrangling geese with fishing line stuck around their neck and legs. One unfortunately had a hook in its skin.
