Plans in works for new direct shuttle from Hazelwood to Oakland

PITTSBURGH — There are plans in the works for a new direct shuttle from Hazelwood to Oakland.

The shuttle would consist of a 6-mile loop using existing public roads and new mobility trails. There would be stops in Hazelwood and Oakland.

The plan is part of the Hazelwood Green Project, which aims to revitalize a 178-acre section of Hazelwood’s riverfront while keeping the history and culture of the area.

The Pittsburgh Department of Mobility and Infrastructure will hold a virtual meeting on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to talk about the Mon-Oakland Mobility Project.
