PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh shows set to return later this year

PITTSBURGH — “The Band’s Visit” will mark the return of the PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh shows for 2021.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust said the program is one of the most Tony Award-winning productions in history. It was forced to close halfway through its run in Pittsburgh due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The show is set to open in October 2021.

Officials said new touring productions require more time to cast, rehearse and build sets and there have been adjustments made to the run of shows through 2022:

  • The Band’s Visit: Oct. 28-31, 2021 (six performances)
  • Summer: The Donna Summer Musical: Nov. 16-21, 2021 (eight performances)
  • Oklahoma!: Jan. 4-9, 2022 (eight performances)
  • Pretty Woman: Feb. 1-6, 2022 (eight performances)
  • Hamilton: Feb. 22-March 13, 2022 (32 performances)
  • Season Special! Beautiful - The Carole King Musical: March 18-20 (five performances)
  • To Kill A Mockingbird: April 19-24, 2022 (eight performances)
  • Ain’t Too Proud: May 17-22, 2022 (eight performances)

Season tickets are now on sale with seven-show packages ranging from $225 to $817. Tickets for individual events will go on sale on a show-by-show basis.
