WILMINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — One person was killed Tuesday night in a fiery crash involving a motorcycle and pickup truck, the driver of which fled the scene, police said.
The crash was reported shortly before 10 p.m. on Route 18 in Wilmington Township.
Pennsylvania State Police said the motorcyclist died in the crash, which left the motorcycle under the front of the truck. The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike.
Police said the truck was turning onto Johnston Road when it hit the motorcycle. The truck then caught fire.
The driver of the truck took off after the crash, and police brought in a helicopter to assist in the search.
Police eventually found and arrested Abram Weidenhamer.
