Police investigating South Side convenience store robbery

A convenience store in Pittsburgh’s South Side was robbed early Wednesday morning.
The robbery was reported just after midnight at a CoGo's on East Carson Street.
Police said the suspect used a knife and was wearing a "Darth Vader mask" to hide his face.
Police initially left the scene after beginning their investigation at the store, where they spoke with employees. They returned shortly after 2 a.m. and searched a nearby alley.

We talked to a neighbor off camera who told me she installed security cameras to help her feel safe. She says she has already been able to help police once because the video showed one of the alleged bank robbers running down the street.
Channel 11 asked Pittsburgh police if this surveillance camera that we spotted across from the CoGo's has any helpful video.
We'll let you know when we find out.
Investigators said no one was hurt in the robbery.
