PITTSBURGH — A man was shot twice in downtown Pittsburgh Saturday morning, and now police are searching for the shooter.
According to officials, the shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. in the 100 block of 9th Street. Officers followed a trail of blood to where the victim -- an unidentified man -- was on the sidewalk between the 9th Street and 7th Street bridges.

Police said the victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition, but there are conflicting reports of who shot him.
Officers are searching the surrounding area for the person responsible, and anyone with information is asked to call police.
