Police searching for man accused of robbing Pittsburgh store, running down street with cash register

PITTSBURGH — Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a Pittsburgh convenience store before running off with the entire cash register.

Investigators said the robbery happened around 8:15 p.m. Saturday at Schwarz Supermarket on Brighton Road in Marshall-Shadeland.

The unidentified suspect demanded money from a store employee before police said he grabbed the cash register and ran out of the store.

According to police, the suspected robber headed down Lecky Avenue on foot. Investigators were seen searching the area for the man but came up empty.
