Police asking for public’s help for information on Wilkinsburg shooting

WILKINSBURG, Pa. — Allegheny County Police are asking for the public’s help in their investigation into a shooting in Wilkinsburg.

Officers were called to Montier Street near Park Avenue just before 9:30 Thursday night.

They shut down the intersection after they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition.

Anyone with information on what happened is asked to call the County Police Tipline at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
