PITTSBURGH — Police and SWAT officers responded to a street in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood, where a man surrendered peacefully after several hours Friday morning.
The SWAT situation was centered around a home on Bricelyn Street, officials said. Part of the surrounding area was blocked off.

Authorities said a man who was in a crisis situation was in the home. A family member called police about the incident shortly before 3 a.m.
A flash bang was heard going off and authorities were heard over a loudspeaker asking the man to come out with his hands up.
The man came out of the home peacefully around 5 a.m.
No homes in the area were evacuated during the incident.
