Police: Woman threw hot coffee at Pennsylvania state trooper

Surveillance shows an incident in which police said a woman threw a cup of hot coffee on a Pennsylvania state trooper.

Police said Sonya Connors stole and drank a juice box from the BFS store in Youngwood on Sunday.

She then went to a nearby Burger King, went behind the counter, poured herself a cup of coffee and refused to pay, according to police.

Police said Connors went back to the BFS, where troopers confronted her and tried to arrest her. In the video, that’s when you see the coffee cup go flying.

She is charged with aggravated assault and other offenses, including retail.

The coffee and the juice box cost a total of $4.18.
