Primanti's offering free fish sandwiches to customers for Lent

Catholics looking for seafood meal options on Friday during Lent can look to a Pittsburgh icon for help.

Primanti Bros. restaurants will give customers who dine at one of their establishments during the week a free fish sandwich during a return trip on Friday, the chain announced Tuesday.

Those customers can scan their receipts – for an expenditure of $5 or more – using the restaurant’s app and a coupon code for the free sandwich will appear on Friday morning.

The app is available for iOS and Android users.
