PWSA threatening to shut off water to Pittsburgh Police over past due bill

PITTSBURGH — The Pennsylvania Water and Sewer Authority is threatening to shut off water to the Pittsburgh Police headquarters because of a past due bill, according to our partners at TribLive.com.

The PWSA posted the shut-off notice over a $630 bill.

Mayor Bill Peduto said the bill was paid before the notice was issued. But the PWSA said the vendor may not have gotten that message.

The agency said it has had issues in the past with these notices and PWSA is working with its billing vendor to correct the problem.
