She's been selling houses for 20 years and said when everything shut down back in March, it was hard financially.

"We're in sales, that's just what we do. To stop and not be able to physically show homes, meet with clients in person, was an issue,” said Herrmann.

Wolf said Tuesday that the real estate industry as a whole can start doing business again with restrictions. Previously, only yellow areas of the state were allowed to conduct real estate business.

  • Here are some of the health guidelines:
  • Agents have to stagger scheduling of property showings
  • Agents have to provide all individuals at in-person showings with a verbal health screening
  • The state is limiting the number of people inside the property at one time

Herrmann said it’s too early to tell if it’s a buyers’ or sellers’ market right now, but she did say there are thousands of jobs and other small businesses connected to real estate.

“It's a huge portion of the economy, and not to have real estate in action is going to crush us,” she said.

Her company Berkshire Hathaway plans to meet Wednesday to review the governor’s new order.
