PITTSBURGH — According to a new report, Pittsburgh ranks in the “Top 100 Places to Live in America.”
The report, by livability.com, stated that the city is #45 on the list.
The company cited the reinvention of the former steel industry into a thriving innovation hub, its diverse group of startups, and its friendliness toward first-time homebuyers because of its affordable entry points, as factors in the determination.
Pittsburgh also boasts top colleges and universities such as University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University and top industries in manufacturing, health care, energy, business and financial services, and information tech.
The city’s sports teams, including the Pirates, Penguins and Steelers and a thriving arts and culture scene are also a draw, the report states.
