• Several injured after truck crashes into Wendy's restaurant

Four people were hurt after a vehicle crashed into a Wendy’s restaurant in North Strabane Township Saturday.

According to investigators, the vehicle plowed into the restaurant on Racetrack Road around 8 p.m.

Witnesses said it sounded like a bomb went off when the truck plowed through the front of the building.

The driver of the pick-up truck was traveling west on Racetrack Road when he was struck by another vehicle exiting the access road, police said.

The driver lost control, crossed the median and crashed into the restaurant.

The four people involved were transported to local hospitals. Two were taken by ambulance, and two were air-lifted from the scene.

Police said none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening. Neither driver was injured in the accident.
