Sheetz paying its store employees $3 more an hour amid coronavirus pandemic

Sheetz announced on Wednesday that it will be paying its store employees $3 more an hour to support its workers who are working through the coronavirus pandemic.

The pay increase will be effective until April 23

“Our employees are the heart and soul of Sheetz and their commitment to serve our customers and communities as an essential business during this critical time has been nothing short of extraordinary,” said Travis Sheetz, president & COO of Sheetz, Inc. “This special compensation is just one way to express our gratitude during this difficult time.”

The company said it is also actively hiring full-time and part-time store employees for daytime and evening shifts.
