Shelter officials warning dog owners about deadly virus

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — The shelter is dealing with a second case of the parvo virus.

A stray puppy was the second to test positive in recent months.

The parvo virus is highly contagious and attacks a dog's digestive system.

Treatment for parvo can be more costly than the vaccine, shelter officials said.
